Specification
Aqueous alkaline cleaner for removal of grease and oil contaminants in the metal working industry.
Application areas
Can be used in spray-, immersion and ultrasonic cleaning processes (interstage or final) on steel, stainless steel, cast iron and other metal alloys.
Contains temporary corrosion inhibitor for protection against iron oxide building.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Please read SDS before use for detailed information about precautionary and safety recommendations.
The following PPE is recommended: Dedicated work clothing, rubber gloves and in the likelihood of direct or incidental exposure, use eye protection.
Operation data
Concentration 5%
Temperature from 35°C
Duration of treatment Depending on contamination and material, size and shape.
Bath make-up
Add the recommended amount under circulation for at least 10-30 min. at elevated temperature (> 35°C).
Bath control
pH (25°C) 5% solution; keep pH above 10,5
Conductivity (25°C) 5% solution; keep conductivity above 3,2 mS (demi water)
Titration: Titrate 50 ml bath sample with 0,1N Hydrochloric acid (HCl) to pH 6,0 (alternatively use bromthymol blue).
Factor = 0,228
DIN 51360-II: In order to achieve optimal inhibition, the bath must give a corrosion degree of 0 acc. to the standard.
Additional methods
Refractometer, Spectrophotometer. Please contact laboratory for further details.
Additional directions and recommendations
Corrosion protection is increased, if work pieces are stored at low relative air humidity and shielded against weather exposure.
Disposal
Dispose in compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations.
